Making decisions is one of the most difficult things we do.  If it is that hard to choose between the mint chocolate chip and the rocky road, how much more do we agonize over this church or that church, this … Continue reading

… Continue reading

A treat for performance anxiety

Years ago I came across this sentence in an old book: “Never indulge, at the close of an action, in any self-reflective acts of any kind, whether of self-congratulation or of self-despair.  Forget the things that are behind, the moment they … Continue reading

Absalom- the tragic result of misdirected suffering and sins

Do not let tragedy, bitterness and hatred turn you into Absalom (http://www.gotquestions.org/who-was-Absalom.html), whose anger, bitterness and self-righteousness lead him onto a destructive life path that characterizes unhealthy, self-aggrandizing modern celebrities and rulers that populate our current media. The high intensity … Continue reading

Gravity of suffering

https://youtu.be/0lM1HWV0Tjk This video really speaks to my heart as I trudge— heart and soul shattering almost once every day— through a very difficult month. What Matt Chandler says here rings true.  The great crowds of people during Jesus’s time on earth, who … Continue reading
